How to add an email template

Overview
Email templates let you save a reusable email with a subject, content and optional attachment. This guide shows you how to create an email template from Settings > Content Settings using the form and the visual builder.

Steps
Step 1 — Open the Email tab
Go to Settings > Content Settings and click the Email tab.

Step 2 — Click Create Email Template
Click the + Create Email Template button in the top-right corner of Email Management.

Step 3 — Review the Form and Builder tabs
The Create Email Template page has two tabs: Form for the template details and Builder for the email design.

Step 4 — Enter a title
On the Form tab, type a name for the template in the Title field, for example Marketing.

Step 5 — Enter the subject
Type the subject line in the Subject field. This is what the recipient sees in their inbox. Use Variables to add lead details such as First Name.

Step 6 — Create a folder
Click the + button next to Folder, type a name in New Folder Name and click Create Folder.

Step 7 — Select the folder
Open the Folder dropdown and select the folder for this template.

Tip: Folders keep your templates organized once you have many of them.
Step 8 — Add a heading in the Builder
Click the Builder tab, then click the Heading component to add a heading to the email.

Step 9 — Edit the heading text
In the Properties panel, click the Text Content area and type your heading.

Step 10 — Insert a variable
Click Variables and select a field, for example First Name, to personalize the heading.

Step 11 — Add body text
Add a Text component and type the email body in the Text Content area.

Step 12 — Style the content
Select any component, then open the Style tab in Properties to change spacing, background and borders.

Step 13 — Preview the email
Click Preview to see the finished email.

Step 14 — Save the template
Click Create Template in the top-right corner to save it.

What happens next
- The new template appears in the Email tab of Content Settings.
- You can share it with a lead from the lead's profile.
- If the template does not appear, check the Active tab and the folder you picked.
